New Cafe Adventures

This weekend I went somewhere I had never been before. It wasn't a super exciting place or thing to do over the weekend that I’d never done before, but it’s better than sitting in  bed watching some Netflix. So on late Sunday morning, my sister and I decided to go down to St. Paul and try out a cute cafe. We ate at French Meadow Cafe on Grand Ave, the place was full of sunlight and surrounded by tall windows.
We got seated in a little green booth, sitting across the booth from each other staring at the menu trying to figure out what coffee to get. We both knew we needed some coffee so we could get through the day. I asked our waitress what latte she preferred on the menu she responded with, “just a latte”. So that’s what I got and Morgan, my sister, got a mocha latte. The latte was quite strong, but I didn’t mind. Morgan’s mocha latte was very sweet and I did not like it, but if you like a sweet chocolatey drink this latte is for you. The next decision was what were we going to get for breakfast. Both of us are very indecisive people so it was going to be a tough decision. Morgan and I had finally came to a decision, she was going to get an omelet and I got an egg and bacon crust.
Morgan’s omelet was not a good decision on her part, it had come with goat cheese which neither of us had tried and now she had gotten an omelet with goat cheese inside of it. It was awful tasting with her eggs. Mine on the other hand was very good, it had a nice crunch from the bacon, but also had fresh taste with the guacamole, spinach and tomato. We talked for about an hour catching up on life talking about school, work and boys. Now we are going to try at least twice a month to go out and find new cafes to have breakfast and coffee at before she heads off to college in another state.

"The City Never Sleeps"

This picture was taken in downtown Chicago this fall. My dad, sister and I decided one week to go and explore the city of Chicago, so a week later we were on an airplane going to Chicago. I had never been, but my dad and sister had. I love going to big cities it is so fun and interesting to explore and see how people in Chicago live. We walked around all day exploring and people watching. This is one of the nights we were there and we went to the rooftop of the hotel we were staying at and just looked out and surrounding us were huge skylines and I just had to take a picture because I thought it was just amazing! It was also an interesting perspective to look at the city this way. I would love to live downtown in a big city one day. Like the saying goes "the city never sleeps" and I love that. I love that theres always something going on, places to go and you don't need to get in your car you can just walk like most everyone else does who live in those big cities.
